The Health Awareness Team

The Team

If you are passionate about health and want to make a difference, this could be the team for you!

Throughout the year our Health Awareness Team sets up our booth at different conferences to provide people with information on their health and how they can improve it. We also help to raise funds for a food drive for malnourished children at these events. So far this year we have attended the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) Annual Meeting at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel and the San Diego Academy of Family Physicians (SDAFP) Annual Symposium at the Paradise Point Resort & Spa.

The Technology

Our booth is set up with our Antioxidant Laser Scanner. Anyone can visit the booth to get scanned and find out their antioxidant levels. The scan is completely non-invasive and lasts only 30 seconds. The immediate results of the scan show just how healthy the person getting scanned is. Depending on how low or how high your score is we can recommend lifestyle alterations to increase or maintain your score and therefore the levels of antioxidants in your body.

Beneath the Surface: Scanner measures antioxidants levels in the skin

Posted: Thursday, June 1, 2017 11:35 PM EDT Updated: Thursday, June 1, 2017 11:57 PM EDT In this week’s Healthy Living, we zero in on antioxidants and the impact they have on our lives. At your next physical, don’t be surprised if you’re offered a new test that measures the amount of antioxidants in your body.

The Teaching

Knowing your antioxidant level is as important as knowing your cholesterol levels or your blood pressure. As recently stated by Dr. Richard Cutler, Director of Anti-aging Research for the National Institute of Health (NIH), “The amount of antioxidants that you maintain in your body is directly proportional to how long you will live”. Medical research suggests that antioxidants can, amongst numerous other benefits, decrease your risk of cancer, heart disease, and complications related to diabetes. Antioxidants can slow down the aging process, boost your immune system, and speed up recovery times while decreasing pain and inflammation.
